The Digest is evolving. Here's why that's good news.

A small but important change. Starting next Sunday, The Cape Coral Digest arrives once a week, every Sunday at 7 PM.

That's it. That's the email.

Okay, fine. A little more context.

When I started the Digest, the goal was simple: be the local read that actually respects your inbox. Not another "we cover everything" outlet. Not another aggregator pretending to be a newspaper. A short, opinionated, useful read about Cape Coral, written by a human who lives here. Who cares about the information that means something for all of us. Unfortunately, we need to dial back, regroup, and take a different approach.

What's changing
  • One issue per week, every Sunday at 7 PM, in your inbox while you're planning the week ahead.
  • Tighter format: one Big One, four quick hits, the hurricane block, one local pick.
  • Three minutes to read, max. If I run long, that's my problem to fix, not yours to absorb.
What's staying
  • The voice.
  • The hurricane countdown (counts year-round, kicks into overdrive when a storm spins up).
  • The local picks.
  • Real reply-able email. Every reply lands in my actual inbox.

What this means for you: more signal per email. Sundays are now Cape Coral Digest day. Set a calendar alert if that helps.

If this is your kind of thing, just hang tight. The next issue is the new normal.
